Don't let yesterday use up too much of today.

April 21, 2018

"Don't let yesterday use up too much of today."

As I sit here writing reports on a Saturday, I'm reminded of how unusual the last two months have been for us. We've lived in the same house for 18 years and we got it ready to sell. I've been in the same office building for just as much time and we are preparing for our new office, moving in June. My youngest child is finishing his last semester of his senior year. My assistant has had major health challenges in her family and needed to be with them. Her family has needed her more. There have been reports to write, people to see, things to do but we do the best we can - each day.

I have a wonderful man in my life who resurfaced after almost 25 years.

He. Is. My. Plus. One.

After another death of someone from my childhood, seeing my parents go through their own health challenges, and watching people's lives change - beginning new beginnings - I am fully aware of what is important.

I'm very aware that each day is precious.

Don't let yesterday use up too much of today. Those, my friends, are words to live by.
